Rob Arenth

Rob Arenth

Starting out as a classically trained guitarist at the age of 11, Rob Arenth attended the Alabama School of Fine Arts in the 8th grade. This path continued in high school when he won the prestigious "Louis Armstrong Jazz Award," which helped facilitate a full music scholarship to Seminole College in Orlando, under the teachings of jazz great Dr. Bill Hinkle. Performing as a jazz guitarist in many outfits while attending college, Rob honed his skills and developed a "no fear" approach to all styles of music. His extensive training as a guitarist only complements his other instruments skills which include bass, keyboards and percussion. Influences like George Benson, Larry Carlton, Eddie Van Halen, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Steve Vai set the path of Rob's original style and musical direction. The voyage strengthened while touring nationally with members of England's UB40 and south Florida’s Nori Nori and Black Bean Soup. In 2006, Rob started his own band The Evil Monkeys. His versatility is pronounced as he also performs as a solo artist in more than 30 different venues throughout Florida. With the release of Rob's newest CD "Long Time Coming," his true vision has come into place. The work has been described as “blue collar music” with a heavy influence of rock and blues and accented with acoustic pop rock.

Spred the Dub

Spred the Dub

For years now, the Spred the Dub motto and war cry has been, “Good Time Reggae.”
But what the hell does that mean?
It means that whenever this seven-piece gets together, like a rock and roll baby Jesus, a party has just been immaculately conceived. It means that the word “boring” isn’t allowed entrance into their vocabulary. It means that the drunker they get, the better you dance.
