Julie Haven has been singing ever since she spoke her first word. Never known to be shy around an audience, Julie always craved the spotlight. She started early, using cylinder blocks as microphones to perform in front of her preschool class. By the young age of seven, Julie had already written her first song. Her strong love of music has been with her all her life. Her first performances were in front of small crowds at local open mics, inside various coffee shops at the age of 13. After hearing Tori Amos’ Under the Pink album in seventh grade, Julie started to take her music career seriously, which resulted in her first CD release at age 18.

Performing from the smallest coffee houses, and eventually graduating to the largest festivals she has captivated audiences through her songwriting, and unique interpretations of other popular songs. Julie has a number of musical influences, including Tori Amos, Charlotte Martin, Chantal Kreviazuk, Fiona Apple, PJ Harvey, Sarah Mclachlan, Alicia Keys, and Alanis Morissette. She blends her influences to make a very unique sound of her own. Writing from her heart and her own experience, she allows her audience to personally connect with her music through her songs of love, personal growth, and self-discovery.
